The formula and its constants come from published scientific sources, and every legal limit was read from the government source linked next to it, together with the date it was checked. Laws change. We try to keep the figures current, but we cannot guarantee that they are always up to date, complete or right for your situation. Your real blood alcohol can be higher than the estimate.

Your own responsibility

Check with the official source, a doctor or a lawyer before you rely on any result. Never use a result to decide whether you can drive: the only safe choice is not to drive after drinking.

The calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on a server; your body details are kept only in your own browser so that you do not have to type them again.
